holiday weekend

I hope you all had a great 4th wherever the weekend took you, even if it was to the far reaching, exotic locale of your own home.  That's where I was and THRILLED to be there.  I am always everywhere, but home and this weekend was mostly about being around the house, catching up on chores, a bit of gardening and doing some grilling.  The weather could not have been any better for hanging out in the back yard.  Above are pics of the house before the storm of family and friends for an informal BBQ that went all night and morning.  The "storm" was quite welcome and very enjoyable.  I wish I could recount the amount of food and beverages that were all around us and consumed but it makes my stomach hurt just thinking about it all.  The picture perfect ender was going to Disneyland the day after.  It was a fantastic weekend that felt as close to pure joy as anything gets.  I guess that's one of the benefits of celebrating our independence, being able to enjoy your time off however you choose.  However you chose to celebrate, I hope it was awesome!

Where, in the L.A. area, might I be able to find the mirror that's resting against the wall? It's great and I want one! *L* Thanks!

Hi Kittennyc,

Thanks for you kind words and I hope that "YOUR style" will become your new design mantra. The mirror was actually purchased at The Bombay Co. right before they went out of business for a steal.
Z-Gallerie has some great mirrors that are reasonably priced and you may also want to check out
H.D. Buttercup at the old Helm's Bakery building (
