repeating...

If you were looking for a new episode of RMS tonight, you quickly saw that it was a repeat of the very first episode that aired earlier this year. It was actually our pilot episode that was shot about a year ago. There is one more new episode to be seen before the end of season 1 and it's slated to air in September (will keep you posted) and then....SEASON 2! I'll let you know when that is going to start airing.

Currently we are wrapping up shooting season 2 and should be finished by the end of next month.

This has been and continues to be one of the most incredible experiences. We have some of the best homeowner's on this show. From the ones getting the makeover who allow us to come into their home and disrupt their lives for about two weeks, to the inspirational ones that are generous with their time, their story and their enthusiasm!

Much thanks to all of you that visit my blog, the RMS web page as well as my personal web site and respond with your own stories, encouragement and sometimes critiques. We love our jobs. Thank you for taking this ride with us!

FOR PRODUCT AND COLOR INFO ON THIS EPISODE, LOOK AT THE FIRST PAGE OF POSTS ON THIS BLOG (posted TUE, JUNE 17). I LISTED SOME RESOURCES WHEN THE SHOW FIRST AIRED.

Go forth and design well,

After catching the rerun of RMS last night and then seeing you this morning on the "Big Reveal" and then 24 hour design ( I'm not usually home on weekdays!) There is no doubt in my mind that that you've become one of the most influential designers on TV.
All the blood sweat and tears (yes real blood-see the blog about the duct tape), has really paid off. Your warmth and enthusiasm with your clients shows through the camera. We at home get to feel like we're some part of that and its a great feeling.
It's been amazing watching this all happen for you, from Clean Sweep to RMS. And it couldn't happen to a nicer guy!
Please continue "Going forth and designing well" so we can all continue to learn from you and share the fun.
I'm off to some family BBQs for Labor Day weekend. I hope yours is wonderful. Enjoy!

Angelo,

I'm truly a fan! With each new episode, I've asked myself how you could top the week before, but you do every time!

Congratulations on a great first season...looking forward to what's in store for season 2!

I loved the yellow you used on this house. Could you tell me the brand and color name? Yellow is a really hard color to get just right and it looks like you nailed it! Thanks, Melissa

gvmelissa, Thank you for watching.
The paints are VALSPAR brand from Lowe's
www.lowes.com/ratemyspace
and I used Martha Stewart Colors:
YELLOW ON WALL: SUGAR CONE MS104
YELLOW ON CEILING: WOODEN SPOON MS 119
GREEN ON WALL: POTTING SHED GREEN MS 224

They are a bit brighter on TV because of television lighting. They area bit more muted in real life, but really beautiful colors. Hope this helps you with your own makeover.

Have a great weekend,
Angelo

I'm absolutely thrilled that this episode aired. My husband and I just purchased our first house and we really want to do our living room, dining room and kitchen with a Tuscan theme. Our fireplace also looks just like this before picture and we're dying to change it. It's been so difficult to plan because we've never seen an example that really looked like what we were going for. Well that stopped after seeing this show. The colors were fantastic and exactly what I had envisioned! It was really nice to see how it all came together in real life! I'm even hoping to carry some of the colors over into other rooms. This is a fantastic show and you are no doubt a master of your craft. Thank you so much, we are now even more excited about our new home! Maybe someday soon we can post photos of our house (right now it's empty)!
