ho-ho-holiday decorating...

The tree above is the one at Pasadena City Hall.  Below, my brother and friends hanging out at in Pasadena at night...it's all lit up and feels very festive.
Above is the Christmas tree lot I wound up getting my tree from.  They have beautiful, healthy trees some up to 30 feet high.  I settled for a 6' blue spruce (below).

TIP: Grouping similar items (or ones with a similar finish) on a mantle is a very simple way to create a bit of the Holiday feeling without too much effort.  Adding some greenery or garland is an added festive touch.

Well, I finally had time to do some Holiday decorating.

Went tree shopping this weekend with friends, came back home and put on the Christmas music, broke out the cookies, the beverages and began the festivities.

Hope you're having a great HOLIDAY SEASON!

I can relate. I've been slowly decorating my home for the Holidays! I'll have to post some pictures soon. Your tree looks beautiful and I love the grouping of ornaments.

I love your tree and the ornaments looks just simple and elegant. I saw pics of your home on the bobvilla.com site and I LOVE IT! It is so gorgeous and just beautifully put together-just like you. Sorry if that's embarrassing.

Your tree is just beautiful and it seems like you and your friends probably had fun looking for a tree. It's always nice to go tree shopping with family or friends. I hope you guys stopped for some hot chocolate either on the way there or on the way back. You have a great house.
