hotel love...

I travel a lot, which I like, and hotels for me are not only a place to relax from the day but to also check out some great design and how it can help see the ordinary in an extraordinary way. Maybe you don't want to do the exact same thing you see at your favorite boutique hotel, like putting a flat screen TV on the ceiling above your bed (kinda cool though), but you certainly can be inspired to look at things around your own home in a new way.

oooooh!

Now I want to travel and check them out. Hotels are getting more and more stylish, even the big chains.

Great shots.

Well, now I HAVE to buy that book. Geez! Seriously now. I travel a few times a year and I do so much research to make sure that i am finding a new and interesting place to stay. It's really easy to get stuck in a rut and stay at the old standbys, not that they're bad. I stayed at some real wonderful hotels that i like to revisit, but it's always fun to find new gems.

I went t the teNeues web site and I am salivating at all the available books. Oprah's got a book club, maybe it's time for you to have a design book club.

I have a bunch of teNeues books. They are wonderful. I collect art books and their photography is lovely as is the art work in the Taschen books, that you've blogged about in the past. I love a man who has style and can appreciate a good book. You're even best friends with a writer (Jennifer Niven)! The fact you're damn handsome doesn't hurt either.

I love hotels. I don't get to travel and stay at them as much as I used to, but I do the same thing-I'm always staying at new places and trying to avoid getting stuck in a comfort zone so that I can explore the great new styles out there. There are so many good ones these days that it's difficult to choose.

Keep up the great work. Your TV design style is incredible and inspirational.

Could I love this topic ANYMORE?!!! I don't think so. I LOVE hotels and would love them even more if you were staying at the same one I was (wink)! Ha!

Love, Love, Love hotels. There are so many beautiful hotels out there. Not enough time or money to be able to stay at all of them. I love teNeus books. They're like dessert. Absolutely necessary.

Thank you for your style & personality.

Oh to be able to just travel and hang out at beautiful hotels. That would be the life. Let me know if you have any ideas on how one can do that full time.
