Great style is more than just picking the right color, or the perfect sofa. Style is really unique and individual. Even when all the "right" elements are in place and you've made the "proper" choices, throw in the unexpected. Live in your home bravely as a pioneer of your own space, not a follower.
The pictures are from the TASCHEN book, Paris Style.

AH, Paris. You are correct. Style is in the unexpected and you definitely try to give that to your TV clients, even with all the confines of the wonderful world of TV and all the other stuff that goes with it.
Have you been to Paris? It is one of my favorite cities. If you haven't, get yourself over there right now.
Thank you for your style and inspiration. It oozes from you.
OH! These are beautiful, just beautiful. I think that designing the perfect room is really about trying stuff. You've said it before and I agree, it's really about experimenting. The best results I have ever gotten were when I broke the "rules" a bit.
Your talent is lovely as is your personality. The way you light up my TV every time you're on makes me beam. I love your show Angelo and I hope that you are enjoying every moment as much as it seams that you are.
YES! YES! YES!
Right on.
Great photos. Taschen has some of the best books. I was in their store in L.A. a few months ago when I was visiting and I had to leave since I could just feel my credit card melting from too many purchases.
Also, definitely right on with the style advice. Some of the most interesting & well designed spaces I have ever been in are the ones the take some chances. I have tried to implement that into my own decorating style, but not always with the best success.
I have always wanted to go to Paris. I was close once. I made it London. Have you been? I hear it's very inspiring.
amazing photos.
Leaving your comfort zone always results in something exciting.
Great books by Taschen. I have gone broke on more than one time with purchases from one of their stores.
I love your style and the way you write about it. When can we expect a book, magazine even an article? Until then, I am happy to be reading your blog.
Best,
Kelly
Well said. Breaking from tradition once in awhile can result in incredible looking rooms.
Ah Paris I remember it well in my travels many years ago;) Gave you a little heads up on my blog;) Just because I think you ROCK! Lisa
Love your style!
paris is on the list as a must see place. I can only imagine how inspirational that would be. Have you been? Did you like it? Will be there this fall (when I'm thinking of going)? HA.
I'm ready. Let's go to Paris.
Have you been? I want to go so bad. My sister was there for the Holidays with her fiance and they couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was. The pictures were amazing.
Yes, I have been to Paris a few times and it has been a fantastic experience every time. I highly recommend it.
