words fail...

I'm not quite sure how to describe the experience of being at our Nations Capitol. I've been there on several occasions before and it's always inspiring and humbling. The feeling was magnified a hundred times over this time around.

The goal was not to take political sides but rather to be in a historic place during an incredibly historic time and to meet other people who had their own reasons for being there. Well, goal accomplished.

I arrived on Saturday and left the Wednesday. Every second felt important. The people I met and the stories they told made me fully realize the greatness of this country. I'm not sure I can recount them and do them justice. Words fail me and the experience of the people I came across and their amazing words will stay with me forever, as will this incredible trip.

A special 'THANK YOU/SHOUT OUT" to Dionne & Shawn, whom I met in the lobby of my hotel and wound up having the most incredible dinner, wine, dessert and conversation with. Amazing women with inspiring stories.

Of course, I cannot forget the Hotel Madera near Dupont Circle where I stayed. The whole staff was phenomenal as was the whole experience. Thank you all!

Enjoy the video.

Brilliant! Glad that you had a wonderful time and glad that you made it back, safe and sound.

It's a glorious time that has inspired me to be a better, more neighborly citizen. I feel that we're coming out of darkness, energized and ready for the challenges that await.

I envy you on at least three different levels right now. Your video really puts the inauguration into perspective: this really is THE NATION celebrating, and thankfully the polls show that Obama is getting considerable bipartisan support.

You are simply amazing - thank you so much for sharing this personal moment with us - I shed another tear (okay a lot) - watching you and listening to President Obama speaking... how this country is for everyone - not just one group... it is the differences in us all that make America special... it is what the country was founded on and sadly has been lost along the way... Your video skills and the editing of the video are REALLY GOOD - amazing that this was your second video in a week - THUMBS UP Angelo!

What a treat this was. Thank you for sharing it.

(Caught it on CNN while vacationing in Mexico. Understand they didn't have 'live coverage' here in Canada. Go figure since they did cover.....the Super Bowl. Tells us something about our Canadian priorities doesn't it?) SMILES....
