happy friday...

It's been raining in Los Angeles.
We need it and I like it.

A few days ago it was sunny and warm.  Baxter decided to take advantage of it.  Maybe he knew the rain was coming.

Have a great weekend.

Hey Angelo,

Can I ask you a question about dealing with lowered slanted ceilings?

Happy Weekend Angelo. Could you send us some of that rain? We need it desperately! Kathy (BTW, that Baxter is a cutie)

I'm envious of Baxter, soaking up those rays!! Hopefully, the sun and heat will be back for him soon :-)

Your railing is very cool -- did you design it??

Smart pooch, basking in the sun!

Do you also need or like 'snow' Angelo? We have plenty of it and I would be more than happy to send you some.

I love snow! We have it in the mountains and I grew up around it in Chicago. I don't miss digging out my car though.

Yes, I did design the gate/railing. Thank you.

Oh would I love some warm weather , Ohio has been so cold and snowie .

What would do for storage in a small home build in 1894 , no closets or attic and a damp basement .

Dear Mary,

Older homes can be incredibly charming (I have a 20's California Bungalow that is barely 1,200sf) and the details along with the charm give way to soem challenges--lack of storage being one of them!

Finding creative solutions like using vertical space for wall mounted of free standing storage components is key.

Lowering your hanging bar in closets and adding a second bar on top for double hanging storage (include a shelf above the bar for additional flat storage), furniture that doubles as storage (ottomans, coffee & side tables, etc) and practicing some "tough love" when it comes to what you really need in your space, can make a huge difference in the way you think of rooms in your home and the way you utilize storage.

Good luck!

Angelo, Baxter looks so happy laying in the sun. I do think they can sense rain on the way. Thanks for sharing his handsome photo.
