you never forget...

...your first time.

A little over a year ago, this was the first piece I designed in the angelo:HOME collection.

This was the first piece that was sent to my home after I worked on getting everything just right. I opened the box and I'm not gonna lie to you, I got a little choked up. There it was. I couldn't even take it out right away. I just stared it for a bit trying to understand exactly how this happened AND now, I see it on the OVERSTOCK web site and I can't believe it's real.

"How did we get here?"

I'm glad we're here, but it's funny to me that the little kid that spent all his free time tearing apart old, discarded pieces of furniture and reinventing them into something I thought looked good and was useable (my parents humored me and used everything) wound up doing basically the same thing as an adult.

The design aspect is a thrill for me. Every little bit of it, even the stuff that seems a little mundane and frustrating to others; Putting things together, trying a new concept that will fit within all the parameters that are in place for hitting an affordable price point, ease of shipping, comfortable feel and style along with function--ALL the problem solving is right up my alley. I dream about it at night, I talk about endlessly during the day and I visualize it while I'm standing in line for my coffee. I'm not very exciting to be around, but I am committed (DON'T say it, it's tooo easy).

Who knew there was a job out there for me that is exactly what I used to do for the sheer wonder of it all? It's still a wonder and pretty wonderful.

I am so happy for you. Nothing happens without hard work, dreams and more hard work. This is only one of your many victories along the way. Enjoy. LOVE this chair.

QUESTION:

I was wondering if you can tell me the dimensions of this chair. I'm thinking about two of them, but what to make sure they will fit.

Thank you,
Ashley

Hi Ashley,

Here are the dimensions:

Arm chair measures 27.5 inches long x 28.5 inches wide x 35.5 inches high
Arm height is 25 inches
Seat measures 21 inches long x 19.5 inches wide 19.5 inches high

Two of these chairs with a round side table between them would make for a perfect, classic seating area. Don't be afraid to mix textures and color for a more interesting and eclectic look.

-Have fun styling your home,
Angelo

I bought this chair and I am proudly displaying it in my living room, but I think I may ned a second one since I "moved the furniture" this weekend and came up with a new arrangement. Two of these chairs near the fireplace, with a small side table, would make for a great little seating area along with my two love seats facing each other in the center of the living room. The chair is gorgeous. Even better in person!
