swell stuff...

A while back ago I ran into an actress who's work I have watched for a few years now and have highly admired. She's young, talented, beautiful and could have easily fell into the types of roles that young and beautiful women are offered. BUT, she's talented AND smart. She took the road that wasn't obvious and made interesting choices, even if they weren't in the biggest box office hits--those came along as well, but again...interesting choices.

I had the good fortune to speak with her for a bit about all things design (since she was asking) and left feeling a bit giddy about the whole meeting. A friend of mine reminded me that, "You never get star struck---what up with the goofy, glassy-eyed look over this actress?" Well, I realized that yes, the whole "star-struck" thing isn't really my gig but talent-struck, that's a whole other tasty bit.

I am a buffoon for talent. All kinds of talent. When I see it, hear it, taste it, read it or witness it I am instantly drawn towards the talent and the individual possessing it. Also, I don't want to get too close since I feel like I'm just going to babble like...well, a buffoon. Which is exactly what I did with said actress.

That being said, enjoy the talent and beauty of JULIAN CHICHESTER'S contemporary English Furniture.

I totally get what you mean. When you admire a persons work and have followed them, it's such a thrill to see them, let alone hold a conversation. I suspect she may of felt the same meeting you! It's a bit like meeting design royalty. Her website is terrific. Fell in love with the 'blanchard' chair right off the bat. Thanks for the intro Angelo ~

Gorgeous pieces. If I could afford them, I'd be all over that first chair and that curved chest. I LOVED your story. "Talent Struck" GREAT saying.

That first chair is truly beautiful. The story is great as well and believe me, she was just as ga-ga to meet you and you were with her. The blog just keeps getting better. Now, when are we going to see the new furniture and when is the Harlow Chair in mango coming back?!

Hi Lise-

Thank you. You're too kind.

The Harlow chair in mango should be back in stock the first week in December along with all the other sold out items from angelo:HOME. Also, appox 20 new upholstered furniture pieces will be available as well at that time.

Hope that helps.
All the Best,
Angelo
