food hall...

Eat/Shop Here:

Just the name alone drew me in.

Food Hall by Todd English at the Plaza Hotel.

Hall of Food? Could it be like the Hall of Justice but even better?
Maybe like the Food Halls of Harrods?

It's a great new place at the Plaza Hotel to dine in or take away.
Obviously not near as large as Harrods Food Halls, but no complaints here.

I've had two meals there so far and they did not disappoint, either did the staff or the design of the place. It feels fresh and modern without seeming trendy.

There's a bakery, a wine bar, a grill, a dumpling bar, pizza section, sushi bar, cheese area, a market and just overall good tasty times. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the NYC/Central Park area. It's a perfect place to cool off, grab a quick bite/drink and maybe even do a little culinary shopping and pick up some mad skills from the demo kitchen.

See you there,
angelo

Thank you for not only invoking the Food Halls of Harrods (one of the highlights of my trips to London, for sure) but also referring to carry out as "take away." You're an honorary Brit!

I'm developing a lengthy itinerary for my next trip to NYC, and so far, all the must-sees relate to food.

To quote a designer of whom I'm quite fond: DEVIL.

Devil indeed.

I love England and Harrods is always a must see.

Enjoy.

....."and pick up some mad skills from the demo kitchen" -- hopefully they don't include teppanyaki knife tossing skills Angelo as I've heard those sharp knives can hurt you. :)

Glad to hear that your move to the Big Apple is agreeing with you and things are going as planned. -Brenda-

OMG. Where to begin. Maybe just stay there and have every meal available. Thank God the park is so close, lots of jogging must take place after a day in this place.
