i could live here...

Alex MacArthur's insanely gorgeous home (and shop) in the seaside town of Brighton, England lives up to motto on the website: "Antiques and Interiors for Decadent Living."

The store, Alex MacArthur, is located appox 5 minutes from the residence. The home is used as a private showroom and everything in it is for sale! Talk about constantly moving the furniture. This is my kind of town. I would live in this place as is!

The store and home meld into this one of a kind space(s) that beckon everything in my design sensibilities! The photos above are only a mere fraction of what you can see on the website. If only there was a subway that ran from midtown Manhattan to Brighton.

Oh my! Such a fantastic collection and displayed so well! It almost feels like a castle but then you see some contemporary touches thrown in. England is on my bucket list...along with Greece and Italy. I've lived in France a short time when I was a teen. Love the decorating inspiration of the French, I must say. How did you find this treasure, Angelo?

Wow.

I would like that kitchen, please.

Short flight from NYC to England. It's just right over there, across the pond. Same time it takes to fly to L.A. Make a jaunt!

Store or not, I wonder what 'Squatter Rights' legalities they have across the Pond as I too would be tempted to move in. :)

...and to think it is even by the Sea. -Brenda-

Yes. I could live there also. Beautiful doesn't seem powerful enough a word.
