what the frack...

I have this mirror (below).

It's called the FRACK and it's from Ikea for $4.99. Of course it is and of course it's called Frack.

Now Manhattan Nest has repurposed this little beauty and turned it into this great little light (above), for less than $20! You can get all the simple details on how to do this for yourself on their blog.

It combines a few of my favorite things when it comes to DIYness:

1) Instant "Oh, that makes sense" light bulb (excuse the pun) moment.

2) It's cheap. Great design has absolutely nothing to do with cost.

3) It's super easy and idiot proof. I am an idiot and I like it super easy. Don't judge.

Awesomeness.
You can customize this look to suit your style. Change the type of light bulb, switch out the color of electrical cord, or even add a clip on mini shade if you don't want the exposed bulb. These (below) are appox. $30 and less for a set of three.  I love it when making your home a reflection of your own personal style is this easy, inexpensive and fun!  -angelo
