Do you stay in or go out on New Year's Eve?
Usually, I prefer being home in casual clothes and lots of snacks.
This year, I will be going out to a friend's black and white party. It's the kind of thing that I love watching from a distance and thinking to myself, "I bet those people are having a blast." But faced with the idea of actually attending, I think "Does this require long pants and a tucked in shirt?"
Well, I am venturing outside my comfort zone and not only am I donning long pants and a tucked in shirt, but there will also be a bow tie, a jacket and a mask of some kind. Oh, and shiny shoes. Apparently, people that fit you for clothes that require the above things frown upon non-shiny shoes. I tried.
I look forward to seeing friends I have missed all year and snacks.
Even if you're not throwing a bash, or attending one, there's no reasons to skimp on the snacks. With that in mind, here are a few bites that can assist in ringing in the New Year: SNACKS from food52
Also, I want to Thank You All for being such a big and positive part of my 2012.
I'm fortunate to be able to do what I love for a job. Having people respond to it, and getting the chance to hear from and interact with them, is a huge and awesome privilege.
Thank You for making my 2012 so incredibly swell.
I hope that the NEW YEAR is Happy, Healthy and Everything Your Heart Desires!
Go Forth and Design Fun.

Happy New Year to you, Angelo! Thank you for sharing your life and designs with us! Still miss seeing you on TV... Enjoy your fancy evening out - it's always good for us to step out of our comfort boxes once in a while! Take pictures and share! xoxo
Happy New Year! You'll look dapper and debonair. Have fun!
So wonderful to have shared a "moment in time" with you this past year. Forever linked in :30 of film/video tape. lol.
We'll watch the ball drop with the "Rockin' New Year's" telecast--our annual tradition. Kids want pancakes for dinner, so that's what I'll make. Bacon and eggs, too.
I'll spend the 1st taking down the decorations I put up at the hospital on Black Friday. 12 hours to decorate an entire hospital and 4 hours to take it down.
Here's to a fabulous 2013!
