it's almost here...

Spring.

One of my favorite things about this time of year in New York City is the amount of tulips everywhere.

The bulbs that were planted throughout the city are almost ready to bloom, and all the corner markets are bursting with buckets of them. In all colors.

I love tulips--In any color, but their leaves and stems are just as beautiful to me.

The green is gorgeous.

So in honor of the tulip stem and Spring, which is almost upon us, let's bring in some green to our rooms.

As always, it works best when you layer the color. Also, I know I recommend bringing in wood elements a lot (because they're awesome!) but if you're ever going to take that advice to heart, this is the time.

Nothing works better with green than natural brown/tan/cream hues and textures!

You'd think I would hate green having grown up in the world of avocado green, but I love it. Must be why both my living room and family room have green upholstery--fortunately, the rooms are not matchy-matchy.

I love green. And tulips!

Always happy to see an ode to green. Green doesn't get nearly enough love. Thanks for giving it its due. And for the fab green-blue chandelier. That color is my latest obsession.

Oooh, nice choice, Beth! I love the chair--I think it's a Harlow--on the upper right.
