not good at the listening...

It all started with an orange floral chair.
This one.

We launched angelo:HOME about five years ago at a time when everything in the economy was crashing all around us.

Everyone that knew better and had more experience said, "This may not be the ideal time to be doing a product line launch."

Since I was too dumb to know better, I insisted this was the thing I wanted to focus my energy and money into. They responded with, "Well, please don't start with an orange chair. Here are some shades of brown you can work with. We can sell those."

I'm an awful listener. Usually, it comes with horrible consequences. This time, it was the best thing I could have done. Not listen.

Orange set the tone for our brand and we haven't looked back.

Design your rooms, your home, your life with risk. A little will go a long way in making a change that is powerful. -angelo

I'll share with you a quote that summarizes my personal and business success... I keep this one on a plaque on my office desk...

"All you need is ignorance and confidence and the success is sure." Mark Twain

Your self-deprecation is sweet, but I'd say you weren't too dumb to know better, but rather that you are too interesting to bother with the status quo.

Thank you for not sticking with brown. EVERYBODY does brown! Really?! Please continue to bring us more color in design. Many of us crave it and want to surround ourselves with it.
Thanks for "not listening" and going with your truth and belief!
