thank you...

Twice a year I make a pilgrimage to High Point, NC.

I'm there for the furniture market where all of us that love design, home furnishing and all around home stuff, gather to see what's new, display what's new and celebrate it all!

I'm usually there for two weeks. A week of setting up the showroom and a week of taking the whole experience in.

It's a lot of prep work and setup. This year we debuted our new feather/down/8-way hand tied sectional, new larger scale sofas, brand new sustainable wood pieces, dining tables, rugs, throws, accent pillows, bedding and a new collection of lighting.

NONE of this is possible without an amazingly hardworking, delightfully inappropriate and fiercely loyal group.

A BIG "Thank You" goes out to everyone at Handy Living, Surya, Culp, Hallmart, Bocasa, Modus, AFLighting and JeffCo, along with all the enthusiastic and tireless reps that are the front line and goodwill ambassadors of our angelo:HOME brand. Their tireless efforts make each market better than the last!

Our retail partners, new and existing, make this journey so much fun and memorable at every turn. They are the best at what they do, and we're honored and proud to be a part of their team!

Also, let's not forget three places that keep us very well fed and hydrated.

PITA DELITE for the best customer service and sheer joy of food at the Market.

OSCAR'S for one of the best burgers!

THE OLD FOURTH FILLING STATION for pretty much everything on their menu.

Thank You! -angelo

A lovely collection. Lovelier. It's always been lovely. It just keeps growing.

What's the argyle-y situation in one of the inset photos? Rug? Throw?

Thank You, Beth!

It's a rug. You can view the full sized version here:

Oh, how awesomely, preppily reptilian!

And I love the stripey, wavy, chevron-esque-but-not rug, too!

So fab!

Love your line...I would pay the money for the eight-way, hand tied sectional.

Loving the cube ottomans.

Thanks, Denise.
You would LOVE the sectional. It is incredibly comfortable.

Ohhhhh sorry I missed you. I heard about your amazing showroom and collection, though. It was a my first time at Market since 1991. :-O Things had changed a bit. I thought the Gift Mart at Atlanta was huge. Boy...talk about overload. But it was a hoot! Did you get to see the Temptations perform? :)

Bard-
I'm so glad you had a chance to come to market! There is a lot to take in, but talk about your inspiration, right? I didn't get a chance to see the Temptations, unfortunately. Hope you had fun. Best, -Angelo

Whoops, I meant "Barb" NOT "Bard" I don't even know a *Bard*

I probably will meet one this weekend...

I heard the Temptations perform live. I grew up near a race track--horses--and sometimes it would be host to a fair. At night, the sound is clearer with less going on. I sat in my bedroom and heard them for a little while.

Thanks for triggering a memory.

It was The Bard's birthday this week. Perhaps, you were channeling Shakespeare.
