One of these days I will spend time in Las Vegas taking in the restaurants and the shows.
I go twice a year for the the Furniture Market and it's awesome, don't get me wrong. I get to meet fantastic people that are enthusiastic about furniture and design. I catch up with old friends that I've worked with for years...and I have the privilege of showing off my new designs at every market.
It's a flurry of work activity and then...I'm off to the next scheduled gig. But I am making a promise to myself right now that on my next trip, I am going to explore a few of the culinary adventures Vegas has to offer--instead of collapsing in my hotel room right before barely ordering a room service cheeseburger and double Scotch.
But I did sneak away for about six hours on my last day there and take in a day trip to the Grand Canyon! I had only been as far as the Hoover Dam in the past. It was glorious. I did not partake of the skyway bridge thing-y. Heights and I don't really see eye to eye.
Meanwhile...back at the Vegas Furniture Show, we premiered our new line of angelo:HOME media cabinets and outdoor furniture that I designed for Walker-Edison. It will be available later this year and we're thrilled with the way everything turned out.
Everyone at Walker-Edison has been great to work with. They're passionate about great design and customer service, as well as being swell, honest, hardworking people.
I look forward to expanding the line with them to include office furniture and other occasional pieces.
As you may know, if you're a follower for the blog...2015 sucked. It's nice to feel enthusiastic about product design again. -angelo
