thank you and congratulations...

Thank you to all of you that sent the most awesome Birthday wishes!

You kids are The. Best.

The weekend was spent with people I love and of course lots of food and two cakes. More about the cakes later. BTW, one of the the many things I appreciate about my friends, they know that there should be more than one cake. My glorious friend, Jennifer, provided birthday mustaches for everyone. Because, why not?

The festivities actually really got started on Friday afternoon when two fantastic packages of these (above) homemade shortbread cookies arrived in the mail from Beth. You only see one package in this photo because...well, you know.

There was the annual Fosselman's ice cream cake on Saturday night. Vanilla cake with chocolate chip and cappuccino ice cream. On Monday, the actual birthday, it was a yellow cake with chocolate buttercream frosting from SusieCakes.

Earlier on Monday we spent the day at California Adventure and Disneyland. It's kind of become a tradition without really trying to be one. It usually starts with lunch at Carthay Circle Restaurant at California Adventure. It's one of my favorite places. Not only because...the food, but because of the atmosphere. Plus, the staff couldn't be nicer. Then, we head over to Carsland for soft serve and stroll over to ride Soarin' Over California.

We later make our way across the to Disneyland for more snacks and a few more rides. My all time fave, Indiana Jones, is always a must do no matter how long the line.

I want to also CONGRATULATE Deborah, Betty and Denise for correctly guessing What Broke in the Saturday night birthday video Ed posted on Facebook. They correctly guessed, a lamp.

Awesome job ladies.

A Baxter Manor candle of your choice will find it's way to you soon!

Thank you again for making this an awesome birthday!   -angelo
